My name is Adrian M. S. Hobbs, As I was interested in taking an IT course and found Koenig-Solutions website, liked the courses they offered and this is a bit about my experience. Though Koenig offer courses at different location in India, I choose Goa. I enrolled myself for the MCSE 2003, MCSA 2003, MCDBA 2003 and CCNA. I arrived in Goa on 27th Jan & departed from 12th April 08, so it’s been a real long time for me in Koenig Goa. I came out to Koenig-Solutions knowing very little about MCSE 2003 & Cisco Routers but I’m glad to be going back with a bundle of knowledge.
Though Koenig Offers different categories of Hotel I choose to stay in the service apartment which is also offered by Koenig, which is almost to a standard of a budget hotel at a very reasonable cost, which included the cab service for the pickup & drop. The Goa Centre is located at the capital city of Goa i.e. Panjim. The class room are setup with the entire basic requirement for the course.
My tutors greeted me with a big grin. My Cisco Trainer told me not to worry as she was going to ensure that by the time my exam came round I’d be well prepared for it, tell the truth I didn’t believe her at the time but I’m now a CCNA and amazed at how well the course is structured and how knowledgeable my tutor was, at any point where I was struggling she would find other ways to explain until at last I’d grasp the concept/protocol being taught. I won’t lie and say it was a breeze, far from it in fact. You’re here to learn and the tutors make sure that you do, and when away from class you’ll be going over course work covered that day. Saying that, the reward of getting the qualification you came out here for more than makes up for what can be 12 hours plus of lessons and revising per day.
The tutors are very friendly and encouraging, if you’re new to IT then it does help to settle you in, and you should find that you’re able to follow conversations in the lunch room quite quickly, during my time here I’ve made lots of new friends and had the opportunity to visit a few places…I really enjoyed the night market at Baga, there’s a nice restaurant in Donna Paula called Sea Pebbles, a quirky bar/restaurant in old Panjim called Hotel Venité, and lots of other things to do if and I do mean if you get the time. Freddie is the driver and he’s great, always smiling and puts you at ease as he greets you at the airport. The cab driver arranged by Koenig who was able to take me around once my course was over and managed to find everything on my long list of gifts to take home, also took me and a few fellow students to the night market.
I’ve made friends with lots of the students here, the nationalities are very mixed with US, Nigerian, Belgian, UK, Swiss and Norwegian to mention a few, everyone helps each other and that really does help you settle in, all in all I’d definitely recommend anyone to come here, and am already thinking on what courses I can take next year. |
