UNSERE KURSTEILNEHMERINNEN UND KURSTEILNEHMER

Hi my name is Ferdy Griffioen from the small and cold country called The Netherlands. I am one of the lucky ones who got send to Koenig Solutions by my company to get some Microsoft certificates. The course I followed was “MCPD ASP.Net 3.5” in a lovely town called Shimla, which is on 2200 meters above sea level.

I arrived at Delhi airport on the 22nd of April 2009 at around 11:00PM. A Koenig cab driver picked me up and drove me to my hotel where I would stay for 1 night, before heading off to Shimla.

I didn’t had much sleep as the cab picked me up at 5:00 in the morning to go to Delhi train station. Here the Koenig employee ensured I took the correct seat. This train ride was comfy and I reached Kalka around noon. There I had to switch trains to continue my journey towards Shimla. The train I took was older, smaller and less fast. It took me another couple hours before I reached Shimla, but the view from the mountain train was stunning.

After being picked up by a Koenig employee I got dropped of at the Willow Banks hotel on Mall Street in Shimla. It’s a fancy hotel and I had a good night sleep, which I needed.

The next day my 2 weeks course started and I met my trainer. At first I didn’t knew what to expect but after the first hour I gotten confident and knew I would learn something here.

The next two weeks have been easy and tough together. Some parts I already knew so these where the easy ones, but sometimes my trainer talked about technologies that I had never heard of. These ‘tough’ parts where mostly overcome pretty quickly because of the knowledge that he has and his way to explain it.

At the end I must say that it has been a good experience which taught me a lot. I would like to thank my company for giving me this opportunity. I would also like to thank Koenig and my trainer for the knowledge that they have shared with me.
