My name is Ali S Mohammed. I am originally from Somali but have lived in the United States for last 20+ years. I reside in Phoenix, Arizona “The hot state”. I am married with four children. I have a computer science degree from back 1991 but has been outdated now. I have been in the business world for the last decade but got stuck with this decade's recession and have decided to refresh my IT degree and skills.

I chose Koenig and India for two simple reasons – cost and dedicated trainers. Yes, I could have found both in States but the fact is that there are many stress issues we have to deal there everyday. Here, I have all the time I need to study and not to worry outside world for a second.

I initially contacted Koenig via email and respond was very swift and detailed. I also liked the Koenig site which clearly spells out everything you need to know if you take the time to study it.

When I arrived in Delhi, I was greeted by Koenig representative who was waiting for me with my name in a big letters. As soon as he picked me up, he gave me my welcome instruction package which clearly stated what to expect for my remaining journey to “Dehradun Center” until my training date.

I studied RHCE course and was very intense as the workload is very high and nearly all my time was consumed with study and revision time. I chose to one-to-one track cause I've been away from IT for a while and I wanted to really get the concept without waiting another student's turn.

My trainer was very knowledgeable to teach this subject. I liked his way of teaching. He took the time to explain every concept we were covering. Yes, there were times, I got very confused and lost but when he noticed, he used to draw an easy flow charts that anyone would understand. He also informed me the other Linux courses I could take once I have mastered this one in the future. I could easily understood my trainer. He has an excellent way of teaching.

I stayed the Service Apartments. I am telling this was like I was in Phoenix gated community. My house is in Gated community in Phoenix, Arizona. This was better due to it's 24/7 guards, cleanings and quietness. Wait, one thing was different. The electricity and Internet connection was NOT impressive. That could have been better. But again, It was excellent place to stay and study. The staff at the Apartments were very professional and prompt. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was always on time and right to what you've ordered.

At the Dehradun Center, the staff was very professional and helpful. They have an excellent manager who shows you her eagerness to help her students. The IT administrator was very helpful. I had computer problem several times and he took the time to fix it. The center was very clean but again, I must say that there was several unexpected power outrage and Internet problems; other than that, I really enjoyed being there and studying. Yes, I would like to come back and do more certifications in the near future.

By the way, did I mentioned both at the apartments and the Center, The cook was great. I enjoyed all his foods especially PASTA WITH VEG SAUCE (Thursday Menu).
