When I first came across Koenig Solutions on the net I was a bit apprehensive. How could they offer so many courses and have so many good student testimonials and offer extremely competitive prices? It sounded too good to be true. When I first contacted them they were more than eager to answer all my questions. After a bad experience at one computer school in Thailand I was more than a little appehensive about putting even a small downpayment to a company that I knew only from and internet page based in a country I'd never been to before.
After much consideration I decided to take the dive and apply to the regular group track for
MCSE in
Dehli. After all I really needed the MCSE qualification and the downpayment was small and refundable and payable by secure means. I had nothing to lose.
I successfully completed my MCSE last year and came back a 2nd time for further training. I also met several people there who had come back a 2nd , 3rd or even a 4th time! This is extremely reassuring.
Instead of give you my story a Koenig I thought it would be more useful and practical for prospective students to provide some points as to why you should consider Koenig and hopefully answer some of the questions that may be in your mind (because they were in mine too!) when applying:-
Here are some questions I really wanted to ask previous students. (Please bear in mind these are my own personal opinions/answers and NOT Koenig's.)
1) How could they offer so many courses and have so many good student testimonials and offer extremely competitive prices?
Well, India is a very large country with a huge population therefore it stands to reason there are more trainers available and they have more human resources to draw on. This has several advantages; they are able to offer extremely competitive prices, select the very best trainers and select the trainers with specialist knowledge dedicated to what you need to know.
2) How can I know for sure? How legitimate is this operation?
This was definitely a question that was going through my mind before applying. As I'm sure with many prospective students entrusting hard earned money, your well-being and future to people you've never met before in a country you may never have been to before is a big descision to make. After having a bad experience in Thailand at one MCSE school I was more than a little apprehensive about applying. Will I ever see my deposit again? Is this a good school? Is India going to be ok and are Indian people true to there word or am I going to end up feeling ripped-off, unhappy and failing all my exams??...
Well, I can put your mind at rest right now. Koenig really know what they are doing. They are concerered with customer satisfaction and will go out their way to ensure that you are happy. They dealt with all my courses, registration, exams and accounts professionally and impecably. I have had better service from them than I have had from other educational institutions in other countries.
3) How good is the training, I mean *R*E*A*L*L*Y* how good is it? and how much are they paying you to say all of his??
Compared to the MCSE training in Thailand? A similar, possibly even cheaper price, but inifinitely better. They have so many more trainers and their knowledge was so much higher (I *R*E*A*L*L*Y* do mean that!) than in Thailand. I also passed all my exams first time and got some very high scores, read 90 to 100%. I also came with very little knowledge too but came away understanding Networking and Windows NOT just with some qualifications!
Unfortunately, thy aren't paying me anything to say this .... but extra cash is always welcome!! LOL!
Seriously though, If indeed you are happy with the service and do well a Koenig you can enquire about becoming a student representative after you complete your courses. This, in my honest opinion, is a completely legitimate arrangement as I for one would only recommend things that I believe in plus it gives you a chance to ask previous students questions you may not feel comfortable with asking someone from the company itself. It also, in my opinion, ensures legitamacy.
4) How hard will I have to work? Is it really hard work?
This is a difficult question to answer. Different people have different levels of knowledge , different abilities and learn in different ways at different speeds. You are given a
pre-course knowledge test to help you select the right courses at the right level but, as with anything in life, you need to work hard and have the right attitude to achieve your goals. Different things work for different people and Koenig are not only willing but also take an active intrest in students and their abilty to cope
with studies and will do their best, as with me, to accomodate any difficulties you may have with your studies.
I was a little nervous at first with all the exams and really had to study hard with some of them because my knowledge was lacking in certain areas. But I passed all my exams first time with good marks. Also, it seemed very apparent to me after some time, from talking to other students, that the exam pass rate is indeed really high, ie 95%+.
Having said all of this, I still had time to enjoy myself and relax on Sundays and take the odd evening off here and there.
5) Did you get what you paid for? Were you happy, satisfied? Any problems?
Yes, I got more than I paid for. I met and made some friends from all over the world and got to see some of India too. I was in good spirits through most of my course with the occasional stress creeping up on me, but that made me work hard which is good in the end. If any of your trainers explain things too fast or in a way you don't really understand bring it to their attention as soon as possible. I had a little trouble understanding one trainer because he explained things too fast but then after reflection he explained things much better and taught us using some metaphors. I in turn commented on it a way which made everyone in the group, including the trainer, laugh hysterically at my joke. (something I can repeat it here cos' its a little cheeky - but what do you expect from a group of all male MCSE students! LOL!) Koenig instructors work hard to gain your rapport and trust right from the get go which makes all the difference.
